Homecare Advice
Homecare describes the actions you can take to maintain and increase the beneficial effects of treatments. In this way, you will enjoy the effects of treatments for longer, and get more from your regular beauty treatments.
Facial Treatments
- Use a suitable and compatible cleanser, toner and moisturizer morning and night.
- Use specialist products e.g. night cream, neck cream, eye cream/gel.
- Exfoliate every week to ten days.
- Use a mask once a week.
- Eat a healthy balanced diet.
- Return for regular facials.
Eyebrow Shaping
- Stray regrowth may be removed at intervals to prolong the effect.
- Treatments can be repeated every 4 weeks, or as necessary with hair regrowth.
Manicure
- File nails correctly.
- Use appropriate specialist products (cuticle oil, hand cream).
- Always use a basecoat when applying polish, to prevent staining of the nail.
- Do not use fingernails as tools.
- Wear protective gloves when washing up, gardening or doing housework.
- Wear gloves in cold weather.
- Avoid harsh soaps when washing hands.
- Dry hands thoroughly after washing, including under rings, and apply hand cream.
Pedicure
- Always use a basecoat when applying polish, to prevent staining of the nail.
- File nails correctly to reduce the chance of ingrowing toenails.
- Ensure that the feet are thoroughly dry after washing, including between the toes.
- Apply talc or foot powder to absorb moisture.
- Apply moisturizing lotion to the feet after bathing.
- Change sock or tights daily.
- Go barefoot whenever it is practical to do so.
- Ensure that footwear fits correctly.
- Avoid wearing high heels for prolonged periods.
- If any pain is felt in the feet, consult a chiropodist.
